Partner with us and build a hyperlocal seed library annex in your area
Our seed library operates as a network of seed library annexes established throughout Napa County. These annexes are intentionally placed where sharing seeds and knowledge about seed keeping are active in our neighborhoods and needed for those who have little access to funds, transportation, and seeds. These little free seed libraries are places where you can borrow, grow, save, and return organic, locally adapted seeds. Each seed library annex serves a unique and hyperlocal community. If you want to build an outdoor seed library annex in your neighborhood to add to the Napa County Seed Library network, fantastic! To know what a partnership with us requires, download this document and get familiar with the details.

Many people commented on the North Napa seed library annex and asked, “How was it built?” Jeff explained how he put it all together.
“The seed library was built around a repurposed bathroom cabinet. The particleboard cabinet was not weather-resistant so the project simply involved constructing a weatherproof shell around the cabinet—essentially a “jacket” and a “hat.” Finally, it was mounted on two 4x4 posts at the build site near the sidewalk for easy public access.”
